How do I power my device?

The DNNCam and the DNNNode require an 802.3at PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) power source delivered over a Class D (Cat 5e) ethernet cable or better as specified in ISO/IEC 11801.1995.

While the devices will power up with 802.3af PoE, this standard provides insufficient power, which will cause constant reboots of the device.

We recommend the Trendnet TPE-115GI PoE+ Injector, as it has been very reliable for us.
